Scanner = Fucked
Goddammit. My scanner appears to be well and truly fucked. It was fine before I went to the UK, but now it won’t even give me a proper preview scan. Bollocks.
I’ve got a load of film awaiting scanning too…

Metering with the Mamiya 7
the mamiya 7 (no idea about the 7II) meter is actualy a spot meter, and the direction it’s pointing at may vary. I figured out where the spot is in my viewfinder by pointing at a bare light bulb in an otherwise dark room. you can clearly se when the meter “sees” the bulb. once you know what part of your viewfinder meters ; use it as a standard spotmeter! few thoughs about...

Bobulate: The other 20 percent →
Woody Allen told us that 80 percent of success is showing up. So after we show up, we fill the other 20 percent with everything else. Much of the time, we fit things in. Fill in the cracks. Push the boundaries. We’re taught, even, to portend busy-ness even when we’re not.
But then, we’re left…

The commenter on that blog, I’m sure, meant nothing malicious in his mild criticism. However, to me, his remarks inadvertently illustrate a sinister side effect of social networking: it’s never enough.

Argh… Stayed up too late last night… Still, scanning occurred, so it’s all worth it.

Looooong day (again). Next up: toddler birthday party. Oh the humanity…
Damn that was a busy day. Body mocap in the morning, facial capture in the afternoon. Home for toddler bed and bathtime. Now, vodka.
Late night, considering tomorrow’s required early start. Mocap shoot all day, then a busy weekend ahead. Must find time to scan, somewhere..
Speeding ticket. Fuck.
Damn, that was one long, busy and downright weird day. Now - sleep. Tomorrow - bike/work/photography.
